Jason Howard
Founder and Managing Partner
Jason is the Founder, Managing Partner and an Investment Committee Member of New Catalyst, where he leads all investment and management activities of the firm.
Prior to New Catalyst, Jason spent nearly 14 years at GCM Grosvenor and a predecessor firm, most recently as Managing Director and Co-Head of GCM Grosvenor's Diverse Manager Private Equity investment platform. In his role at GCM Grosvenor, Jason specialized in sourcing and investing in emerging and diverse managers. He has served as one of the earliest investors in many successful Next Generation funds and provided founder GPs with strategic advice and momentum-building validation that proved instrumental to their success.
Prior to his private equity career, Jason worked at Goldman Sachs in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Technology, Media & Telecom groups. Jason also served as a Manager in the Deal Analysis group at the Walt Disney Film Studio.
Jason is involved in several non-profit organizations. He serves on The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board and the Orange County Community Foundation’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Howard earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with High Honors from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and he is an alum of the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity Career Program.
